The Bhakti Wiyata Health Sciences Institute (IIK Bhakta) held a community service event "Bhakta Mengabdi" with the theme "Education on Controlling Risk Factors for Degenerative Diseases and the Importance of Dental Health in Children.
The Bhakta Mengabdi event was attended by hundreds of elderly people and elementary school students in the Kediri City area. This activity was held at Bhakta Hall, Saturday (01/25/2025), and was attended by the Elected Mayor of Kediri, Vinanda Prameswati, S.H., M.Kn, who had the opportunity to open this event.
As a form of support for the movement to control degenerative diseases, the Elected Mayor of Kediri, Vinanda Prameswati, S.H., M.Kn, also delivered a speech that greatly appreciated the efforts of IIK Bhakta.
In his speech, he emphasized the importance of cooperation between the government, educational institutions, especially IIK Bhakta, and the community in combating degenerative diseases, and supporting every initiative aimed at creating a healthier society. The importance of dental hygiene for children should start early, because dental and oral problems that are not handled properly can cause various diseases that affect children's development.
Therefore, IIK Bhakta together with FKG IIK Bhakta to provide understanding and skills to children and parents regarding proper dental care.
This activity was not only attended by the elderly and children from various communities in Kediri City. The enthusiasm of the community was very high, reflected in the number of participants who attended and were active in participating in each educational session presented.
In addition to providing theoretical material, this event was also filled with various interactive activities, such as demonstrations of how to brush your teeth properly and educational games for children, so that they can more easily understand the importance of maintaining dental hygiene.
With the success of this event, IIK Bhakta hopes to continue to play an active role in improving the quality of public health, especially in Kediri City. Through community service activities like this, it is hoped that awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and dental health care for children will increase.
