The Gema Choir Student Activity Unit (UKM) of IIK Bhakta once again demonstrated its quality and dedication by participating in the regional celebration of PGRI Teacher’s Day and the 54th Korpri Anniversary on Monday (1/12/2025). The event, held at Kediri City Hall, was attended by the Mayor of Kediri, Vinanda Prameswati, S.H., M.Kn., whose presence added significance and formality to the commemoration.
During the ceremony, the Gema Choir presented a selection of national songs and thematic musical pieces dedicated to honoring teachers and civil servants. With refined harmonies and well-prepared vocal arrangements, the choir brought a solemn yet uplifting atmosphere that enriched the artistic and ceremonial value of the program. Their disciplined and cohesive performance received warm appreciation from the Mayor and all invited guests.
This participation reflects IIK Bhakta’s commitment to developing students’ potential not only in academic excellence but also in arts, culture, and social engagement. Through this involvement, students gained valuable experience performing in an official government event and deepened their understanding of their role in public representation.
Event organizers expressed their gratitude for the choir’s contribution, acknowledging that their presence added warmth, elegance, and a cultural touch to the overall celebration. It is hoped that such collaborations will continue to flourish, providing more opportunities for students to showcase their talents and engage in meaningful community activities.
The participation of the Gema Choir in this event further reinforces IIK Bhakta’s role as an educational institution that actively contributes to civic activities and supports the character development of future generations through artistic and cultural expression.
