The IIK Bhakta Faculty of Dentistry held an oath-taking ceremony for new dentists Class XX VIII, Tuesday (21/11/2023 at Bhakta Hall.
The event was attended by the Chancellor of IIK Bhakta Prof. Dr. apt. Muhamad Zainuddin, Head of the Bhakti Wiyata Dra Foundation. Ec. Lianawati Tjokrohartono, M.B.A, Dean of FKG drg. Afrida Nurmalasari, M.Kes., drg. Sumartono, Chair of PDGI Pengwil East Java, Chair of PDGI Kediri drg. Erma Etika and Tyas Wuryaningsih, S.Sos., M.Kes as Representatives of the Kediri City Health Service and invited guests.
In the oath of dentistry class XX VIII, IIK Bhakta gave birth to 71 new dentists from various provinces in Indonesia to Timor Leste.
Taking the dentist's oath is a mandatory process for prospective dentists. The oath that is recited contains values, principles, ethics, which must be upheld by doctors and is a form of the doctor's responsibility to humanity, the nation and the state.
Chancellor of IIK Bhakta, Prof. Dr. apt. Muhamad Zainuddin took the opportunity to express his appreciation to the new dentists and their parents.
He said that Indonesia still really needs contributions from new dentists in realizing national development towards a healthy society.
Furthermore, he also advised new dentists about the challenges they will face in the future, such as the era of disruption.
To face these challenges, Prof. Zainuddin advised new dentists to continue to update their insight and knowledge.
"Without a growth mindset, you will be left behind in filling scientific developments and keeping pace with developments with the times. Never stop learning here. "Be a dentist who learns non-stop," he advised.
