The Bhakti Wiyata Health Science Institute (IIK Bhakta) has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of life of the community through the latest innovation, namely Bhakta Health Park, the first health-concept park in Kediri initiated by a health education institution. On Monday (28/04/2025), the inauguration of Bhakta Health Park was carried out directly by the Deputy Mayor of Kediri, KH. Qowimuddin Thoha, who welcomed the presence of this park as a social infrastructure that strengthens the quality of life of the community.

“Bhakta Health Park is real evidence of collaboration between educational institutions and the government. IIK Bhakta has shown its concern for the community, and we really appreciate this,” said Gus Qowimuddin in his remarks.

This 1500 square meter park has also received a technical recommendation from BBWS Brantas through Letter No: SA.02.03-Am/1537, as a form of legality for the development of green open space and embankments in the Sempadan area.

Not only a green open space, Bhakta Health Park is also a center for educational and promotive activities for health. Located in a strategic area in the Sempadan area, this park is designed inclusively, friendly to all groups including people with disabilities. With various spots available, the park which was built since 2023 has the E.M.A.S concept, including:

●Education
Health education to the community from the IIK Bhakta community can utilize Bhakta Health Park as a medium or place of implementation.
●Medicamentosa
Education of community medicine based on natural ingredients can utilize 65 herbal plants found in Bhakta Health Park as a medium. Some of the herbal plants available include galangal, silver guava, lanang wood, water henna, lavender, patikan kebo, fennel, and others.
●Physical Activity
Utilization of Bhakta Health Park as a fitness center for the surrounding community by utilizing 13 gym equipment provided.
●Stress Reduction
Bhakta Health Park as a means of reducing stress for the surrounding community so that it can improve health levels. Here, 10 safe and educational play equipment are available.

Bhakta Health Park is part of IIK Bhakta's big mission in providing social contributions to the community, especially in the promotive and preventive aspects in the health sector. This park supports the vision of Kediri City as a healthy and family-friendly city, in line with the values of the IIK Bhakta Campus which are oriented towards humanity and community service.

"We believe that access to health education does not always have to be through the classroom. With this park, the community can learn, move, and connect in one healthy and fun place," said the Chancellor of IIK Bhakta, Prof. Dr. apt. Muhammad Zainuddin.

IIK Bhakta continues to emphasize its role not only as a higher education institution, but also as an active agent of social change in the community. Innovations such as Bhakta Health Park strengthen the campus' image as a leading choice for prospective students who want to be directly involved in social missions in the health sector.

Bhakta Health Park is expected to become a center for educational and community activities, a place where residents meet to gain physical, spiritual, and social benefits. The plan is that there will be routine agendas such as morning exercise with the community, health education by students and lecturers, open health consultations, and training in the use of family medicinal plants (TOGA).

With Bhakta Health Park, IIK Bhakta goes further than just an educational institution, becoming a community service that cares and provides solutions to current health issues. This park not only beautifies the city, but strengthens the spirit of togetherness, healthy living, and a better future for Kediri and its surroundings.
