IIK Bhakta Pharmacist Professional Students Participate in Learned Sharing: Sharing Knowledge After Undergoing PKPA

Students from the Bhakta Institute of Health Sciences (IIK Bhakta) Pharmacist Professional Program took part in the Learned Sharing event which was attended by students and lecturers from the Faculty of Pharmacy who had completed the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) program, Friday-Saturday (15-16/11/2024 ). This event aims to share experiences, knowledge and learning outcomes obtained by students while undergoing practice in various hospitals. As part of the IIK Bhakta professional pharmacist education curriculum, IIK Bhakta pharmacist professional students are required to undergo PKPA in various hospitals and health facilities.  This PKPA provides an opportunity for students to be directly involved in clinical pharmacy service activities, drug management, and the application of pharmaceutical science in daily practice. With diverse experiences, students can develop their skills, both in terms of pharmacy techniques and communication between medical professionals.Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy IIK Bhakta, apt. Evi Kurniawati, M. Farm explained that the Learned Sharing event was an opportunity to share experiences, challenges and solutions found during PKPA practice in hospitals. The learned sharing event is an opportunity for students to get input from experienced practitioners and integrate the knowledge gained in the field with the theories they have learned on campus.“IIK Bhakta students discussed the challenges of managing medicines in hospitals, especially in situations involving patients with complex medical conditions. "They learn how to adapt to different hospital pharmacy information systems and ensure that drug distribution is carried out on time and according to the dosage," he explained.
