The D3 Physiotherapy Study Program at the Bhakti Wiyata Health Sciences Institute (IIK Bhakta) held an Information Transfer activity as part of a series of preparations for students to enter the real world of work, Saturday (05/17/2026). This activity was held in the Auditorium and was attended by all students and first-year students who will carry out PKL at various health service institutions.
This PKL information transfer event aims to provide comprehensive provision to students regarding:
Purpose and mechanism for implementing PKL
Professional ethics and work attitudes while in the practice field
Adjustment to the clinic or hospital environment
Administrative procedures and PKL activity reports
This activity is one of the efforts of the D3 Physiotherapy Study Program to ensure the readiness of students academically and non-academically in carrying out work practices in the field.
The event was officially opened by the Head of the D3 Physiotherapy Study Program Whida Rahmawati, SST.FT, M.Kes who in her speech said that PKL is an important moment to integrate theory with real practice in the field.
"Through PKL, students will dive directly into the world of work and learn to handle real cases under the supervision of professional physiotherapists. Therefore, it is important for you to maintain your attitude, discipline, and always apply the knowledge you have gained," she said.
The activity continued with the presentation of material by internal speakers, namely the PKL supervisor and representatives from the academic development unit. The material presented includes:
Operational standards for implementing PKL
Reporting and assessment procedures
Communication ethics in the hospital/clinic environment
Case studies from previous years' PKL experiences
In addition, alumni and senior students who have completed PKL were also present, who shared their experiences during their practice in the field, including the challenges they faced and strategies for dealing with them.
This year, IIK Bhakta Physiotherapy D3 students will carry out internships at various partner institutions, including:
Regional General Hospitals (RSUD)
Medical Rehabilitation Clinics
Public Health Centers (Puskesmas)
Private Physiotherapy Clinics
Sports and fitness health facilities
With the implementation of this information transfer activity, it is hoped that students will have a clear picture of the responsibilities, work ethics, and professional standards that must be maintained during internships. This activity is also a form of IIK Bhakta's commitment to assisting students to become skilled and integrated physiotherapists.
