Institut Ilmu Kesehatan Bhakti Wiyata (IIK Bhakta) once again demonstrated its strong commitment to improving public health through a Medical Check-Up (MCU) program held in collaboration with Lions Club Kilisuci Kediri.
This initiative was carried out as part of public education on the importance of early health detection. During the event, the people of Kediri received a series of health services, including blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, uric acid, kidney function tests, and other examinations, as well as health consultations with medical professionals and academic staff from IIK Bhakta.
The Rector of IIK Bhakti Wiyata, Prof. Dr. Apt. Muhamad Zainuddin, emphasized that this activity represents the university’s vision to be not only an excellent institution in the academic field but also one that contributes directly to society.
“This medical check-up serves as a reminder for the community about the importance of maintaining health from an early stage. IIK Bhakta is ready to collaborate with various partners to raise awareness and improve the quality of life of the community,” he stated.
Representatives of Lions Club Kilisuci Kediri also expressed their appreciation for the partnership with IIK Bhakta. They highlighted that the program aligns with the Lions Club’s mission to serve the community, particularly in the areas of health and social welfare.
The enthusiasm of the community was evident from the high number of participants who took part in the check-up. In addition to health screenings, participants also received education on healthy lifestyles, prevention of degenerative diseases, and the importance of regular health monitoring.
Through this initiative, IIK Bhakti Wiyata Kediri and Lions Club Kilisuci Kediri hope to raise greater public awareness that health is a long-term investment that must be safeguarded. Both institutions also expressed their commitment to continuing such collaborations with more community health programs in the future.
