The Bachelor of Public Health Program at the Institut Ilmu Kesehatan (IIK) Bhakti Wiyata once again held its Alih Informasi (Information Transfer) event as the final stage of the Field Work Practice (PKL) course on Friday, July 18, 2025.
Held at the 6th floor Auditorium of Graha IIK Bhakta, the event served as a platform for students to present their findings, analyses, and recommendations based on their hands-on experiences during their field placements.
A total of eight student groups presented the results of their PKL conducted at various public health institutions, including community health centers (puskesmas), the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), and several other practical training sites across East Java. Each group addressed a different public health issue, reflecting the unique challenges encountered at their respective field locations.
The event was officially opened by the Head of the Public Health Program, Mohamad Anis Fahmi, S.KM., MPH., who emphasized the significance of Alih Informasi as both an academic accountability forum and an opportunity to enhance students’ soft skills.“Through this event, students not only demonstrate their technical abilities in data analysis and report writing, but also their scientific communication skills, which are essential in the professional world,” he remarked.
Each group delivered presentations supported by quantitative data, qualitative approaches, interviews, and field observations. Beyond describing current conditions, students also provided evidence-based recommendations for the improvement of health services and programs at their respective institutions.
Throughout the session, supervising lecturers and representatives from the field placement institutions were present to give evaluations and constructive feedback. The interactive Q&A sessions reflected the depth of students’ understanding of the health issues they had studied.
Mohamad Anis Fahmi, S.KM., MPH. expressed his appreciation for the students’ readiness in facing real-world challenges:
“This activity is a clear reflection that our students are not only equipped with theoretical knowledge but also capable of applying it within the real context of community health,” he said.
Through this Alih Informasi event, the Public Health Program of IIK Bhakta reaffirmed its commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically excellent but also adaptable, competent, and ready to contribute to the development of public health in Indonesia.
The event concluded with the announcement of the best-performing groups, recognizing their dedication and hard work during the PKL period.
