The Institute of Health Sciences (IIK) Bhakti Wiyata has once again made history through the solemn and meaningful Oath-taking Ceremony for Dentists of the 35th Cohort. A total of 35 young dentists officially took their professional oath in a ceremony held at Graha Adipadma IIK Bhakta on Wednesday (June 18, 2025), witnessed by institutional leaders, lecturers, families, and representatives from professional organizations.
This ceremony marks the beginning of their professional journey as healthcare providers in the field of dentistry, who are committed to upholding ethics, integrity, and moral responsibility in serving the community.
The ceremony began with the singing of the national anthem "Indonesia Raya" and the IIK Bhakta Hymn, followed by a prayer to seek blessings and a smooth proceeding. The main agenda continued with the formal oath-taking, led by a representative from the Regional Board of the Indonesian Dental Association (PDGI) and accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at IIK Bhakta.
In an atmosphere filled with pride and emotion, the young dentists recited their oaths with confidence and conviction. This meaningful moment was witnessed directly by their parents and families, symbolizing their commitment to uphold the code of ethics in dentistry and to apply their knowledge for the betterment of public oral health.
The Rector of IIK Bhakti Wiyata, Prof. Dr. apt. Muhamad Zainuddin, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the graduates for their outstanding achievements:"Today is not just a moment of pride for these young dentists but also the beginning of a long journey of service. You have completed a rigorous and demanding educational process. We believe that with the knowledge, ethics, and spirit of service you have acquired, you will be able to make a meaningful contribution to improving the oral health of the Indonesian people,” he said.
Prof. Zainuddin also emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism and continually developing one's capabilities in the ever-evolving healthcare landscape.
Meanwhile, graduate representative drg. Armi Dita Pratiwi delivered an inspiring message to her fellow young dentists:“We are not only expected to be experts in dentistry but also to be empathetic, honest, and responsible individuals. Let us begin this new chapter with the spirit to serve, not just to seek achievements,” she said, welcomed by warm applause from the audience.
The event concluded with symbolic congratulations, group photo sessions, and a closing prayer—symbolizing hopes for a smooth and successful journey for the young dentists in carrying out their professional duties. A sense of pride and emotion was visibly present among the families and graduates, marking an unforgettable moment in their lives.
With the oath-taking of these 35 young dentists from the 35th cohort, IIK Bhakta reaffirms its role as a leading health education institution committed to producing ethical, professional, and globally competitive healthcare professionals.
