The Faculty of Pharmacy of the Bhakti Wiyata Health Sciences Institute (IIK Bhakta) once again held the Period X Pharmacist Oath-Taking Procession, as a form of commitment to producing professional, ethical, and ready-to-serve pharmacists. This sacred event took place on Saturday (19/04/2025) in the Bhakta Auditorium room which was attended by institutional leaders, lecturers, parents, and invited guests from professional organizations and government agencies.
A total of 74 new pharmacists were officially sworn in and declared their commitment to carry out their profession according to the code of ethics and standards of pharmaceutical services in Indonesia. The oath-taking procession was led directly by representatives of the East Java Regional Management of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI) and witnessed by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Chancellor of IIK Bhakta.
The Chancellor of IIK Bhakta Prof. Dr.apt. Muhamad Zainuddin in his remarks said that IIK Bhakta pharmacist graduates must have integrity and superior competitiveness. "A pharmacist must have good integrity, be honest and continuously build other positive characters. Competence in knowledge and communication skills must be followed by integrity both at work and in society," he explained.
Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy IIK Bhakta apt. Evi Kurniawati, M. Farm advised the graduate pharmacists of period X who had just been sworn in to continue to carry out their mandate and be responsible for the profession they hold.
"The pharmacist's oath is not just a ceremony, but a reminder of moral and professional responsibility in providing safe, appropriate, and quality services to the community," he said.
In his remarks, the Chancellor of IIK Bhakta, Prof. Dr. Apt. Muhammad Zainuddin, expressed his hope that graduates would not only excel academically, but also be adaptive to the development of science and technology in the field of pharmacy.
He also emphasized the importance of soft skills, communication, and analytical skills in facing the challenges of a dynamic work world. In this period's pharmacist oath, students from Madura, namely apt. Galuh Ade Prasetyaningtyas, S.Farm won the title of best pharmacist with a GPA of 3.93.
