History of the Faculty
Faculty of Dentistry began with the establishment of Institut Ilmu Kesehatan Bhakti Wiyata Kediri, on September 27, 2005, based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 139 / D / 2005. Furthermore, based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education Number: 119 / D / T / 2006 on April 12, 2006, the Undergraduate Dentistry Study Program was held, which academically training was carried out by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education.
The founders of the S1 Dentistry Study Program are Dr. Bambang Harsono Suhartono, M.B.A, dr. Tarbinu Kasmono, M.P.H, Prof. Dr. drg. Muhammad Rubianto, M.Kes, Sp.Perio, drg. Soedjoko, M.Kes, and drg. Bambang Noeryanto, Sp.Rad. The Bachelor of Dentistry Study Program of Institut Ilmu Kesehatan Bhakti Wiyata Kediri was directly under the rector at the beginning of its operation, which was managed by the Head of the Study Program who was assisted by the Secretary of the Study Program, based on the Decree of the Chairperson of the Bhakti Wiyata Kediri Foundation Number: 011 / BW / SK / II / 2006 , based on the proposal of the Rector of Institut Ilmu Kesehatan Bhakti Wiyata Kediri Number: 01 / IIK - BW / Kep / R / I / 2006. In the first year acting as Head of the Study Program was drg. Christina S.H in 2006 - 2007, and then replaced by drg. Endah Kusumastuti in 2007 - 2008, and drg. S. B. Kusumaningsih, M.Kes in 2008 - 2009.
In 2009, based on the Decree of the Chairperson of the Bhakti Wiyata Kediri Foundation Number: 009 / YPBW / SK / II / 2009 concerning the change from the S1 Dentistry Study Program to the Faculty of Dentistry, based on the Decree of the Chairperson of the Bhakti Wiyata Kediri Foundation Number: 009 / YPBW / SK / II / 2009 concerning Officials in the Organizational Structural Faculty of Medicine Institut Ilmu Kesehatan Bhakti Wiyata Kediri, the first appointed Dean is drg. S.B. Kusumaningsih, M.Kes. In 2013, the Faculty of Dentistry was accredited with Accreditation No. 023 / BAN - PT / Ak - XIV / S1 / IX / 2011.
In the implementation of education process, the Faculty of Dentistry IIK Bhakti Wiyata Kediri worked in collaboration with Yunnan University Of Traditional Chinese Medicine, AFDOKGI (2006 - 2008), Indonesian Dentists Association (PDGI) Kediri Branch, and Government Institutions, they are the Murnajati Lawang Community Health Training UPT, Kediri District Health Office in internship programs , and Kediri City Government in KKN activities. That is a brief history of the establishment of the Faculty of Dentistry, Institut Ilmu Kesehatan Bhakti Wiyata Kediri.
