The Diploma III (D3) Medical Laboratory Technology Study Program possesses excellent and professional competencies in the field of health laboratory examinations. Graduates are prepared to have reliable skills in conducting various laboratory sample examinations and analyzing examination results accurately, carefully, and precisely. The competencies include:

1. Ability to carry out technical and operational laboratory processes from the pre-analytical, analytical, to post-analytical stages in various fields of examination, including:
   a. Clinical Chemistry and Hematology (blood, urine, and body fluid examinations);
   b. Serology (blood serum examinations);
   c. Parasitology (fecal examinations);
   d. Mycology (fungal examinations);
   e. Bacteriology (clinical bacterial examinations as well as bacteria testing in food, beverages, and water);
   f. Clinical Toxicology (urine and blood sample examinations).

2. Competence in mastering health laboratory science, laboratory computerization, and health laboratory management.

3. Ability to prepare work process plans, examination procedures, and perform sample collection and handling in accordance with health laboratory standards.

4. Ability to assess and analyze laboratory examination results to support early detection of various conditions or abnormalities in examination specimens.

With these competencies, graduates of the Diploma III (D3) Medical Laboratory Technology Program are expected to work professionally, with discipline, and in accordance with health laboratory service standards.
